Joey Ladouceur 2011 Season in Review; Mr. DIRTcar Championship Highlights Fantastic Season for Joey Ladouceur

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

November 3, 2011 - When the 2011 racing season began, Joey Ladouceur and his team had set some pretty high goals. They wanted to repeat their championships at Cornwall Speedway, and the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series, and capture the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his career. They wanted to win as many races as possible, and also battle for the elusive win at Syracuse during Super DIRT Week.

Joey got the season started off on the good note, winning on opening night at Cornwall Speedway. In the first month of the season, Joey had three wins at Cornwall, including a Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series win and also posted a win at Mohawk Raceway. Through the month of June, Ladouceur set the pace early, building up a substantial lead in the track point standings.

As the summer heated up, Ladouceur continued his Pro Stock domination with three more wins at Cornwall in the month of July. He was also leading the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock standings at Mohawk Raceway, and was at the top of the standings in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship battle.

In August, Ladouceur had to battle through terrible weather, and didn’t even get on the track at all in Cornwall during the stretch drive of the championship. Ladouceur claimed the 2011 Cornwall Speedway track championship by 66 points. Ladouceur did win three times in August, posting wins at Mohawk Raceway, Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond and stretched his lead in the Mohawk Racing Pro Stock Series standings. A second place finish later in the month at Mohawk also secured the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock championship.

When the calendar turned to September, the team’s attention shifted to the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock series. Ladouceur had a substantial lead, and extended that with a win at Autodrome Drummond on September 9th. The following week, Ladouceur broke while leading at Granby, and was the first DNF of the season at the most inopportune time. The following night, Ladouceur scored a top five finish at Mohawk to remain in contention for the title. The month ended at Cornwall Speedway with the final Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series race, and Ladouceur just had to start in order to clinch the title. Ladouceur ended the race with a fifth place finish.

Just two events remained on the schedule going into October. First it was Super DIRT Week, and then the season finale at Brockville. Ladouceur entered the month trailing the points leader by 41 points in the battle for Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock. A fourth place finish at the New York State Fairgrounds, combined with some bad luck for the series leader gave Joey the points lead going into the final race. When Ladouceur arrived at Brockville to finish out the season, so did the rain, and shortly after the decision was made to cancel the last race, and Ladouceur was deemed Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his career.

While the 2011 racing season is now over, Ladouceur will look ahead to the annual DIRTcar awards banquet on Saturday, November 19th at the Turning Stone Casino in Vernon, New York. Ladouceur, and his team will be officially recognized for the 2011 accomplishments, including the Mr. DIRTcar championship, and Cornwall Speedway championship.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season. Ladouceur Wins 2011 Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship; Brockville Speedway Tour Finale Rained Out

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

October 18, 2011 - As a racer, Joey Ladouceur would always like to decide the outcome on the track, and not have Mother Nature intervene. However, with the rainout on Friday night at Brockville, and the final night of points in the Mr. DIRTcar Series cancelled, Joey Ladouceur earns the title as Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his illustrious racing career.

Despite a forecast that called for rain on Friday evening, Ladouceur and his team made the trip to Brockville Ontario Speedway from their Alexandria, Ontario home. Not long after arriving though, the rain came, and quickly intensified, forcing track officials to cancel the final race of the season for the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series, and giving Ladouceur the championship.

“It certainly wasn’t the ideal way for us to win it, as we always want to decide the outcome on the track”, says Ladouceur. “However, we had a great year, and our team has worked hard to achieve this title, and we are excited to win this championship again”.

Ladouceur, who last won the championship back in 2004, is quick to credit the hard work of his crew, and the support of him family and friends throughout the season, and his racing career.

“I couldn’t do this today without the dedication of the crew, and the support of my wife Josée”, says Ladouceur. “We spend so much time during the season in the race shop, and at the track, and it feels great to have this championship once again”.

Ladouceur Regains Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Point Lead After Strong Super DIRT Week Performance; One More Event Remaining in 2011

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

October 13, 2011 - Going into Super DIRT Week XL at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York, Joey Ladouceur and his Pro Stock team arrived with a beautiful new paint scheme, and a fresh outlook on the remaining events of the 2011. The Pro Stock division first hit the track on Friday afternoon for practice and the had another practice session and time trials on Saturday afternoon before running the BACC-OFF 25 lap Pro Stock Championship event on Sunday.

Ladouceur was fast right from the beginning, setting the second fastest speed in opening practice. On Saturday, Ladouceur laid down another fast lap, and captured the Terrell’s Potato Chips Pole Award.

“I really didn’t think that lap would have been fast enough for the pole”, claims Ladouceur. “We did that first lap and I thought I kind of gave up a little too much, so when I came around for the second one I went harder. It’s a good thing the first lap was good enough to get the pole because I threw it away on the second one. I tried to stay lower trying to find something on the bottom and it just didn’t stick”.

For Ladouceur, this was his third Pole Award in the 10 years of attending this event at Syracuse. He won the fast time award back in 2003 and again in 2009. This year, Ladouceur was hoping to bring home his first career Syracuse win.

“This is my tenth time here for this race and I’ve never won the darn thing,” said Ladouceur, who has a best career finish in this race of third back in 2003 and 2004. “We have been fast, but we’ve blown tires and had all kinds of bad luck at this place.

In the 25 lap main event, Ladouceur held the lead until a lap six restart. Despite several attempts to get the lead back, he rode in second place, and then fall to third on a lap 17 restart. At the checkered flag, he finished in fourth place. Ladouceur entered the race 41 points out of the lead in the chase for the Pro Stock Mr. DIRTcar championship, but with problems during the race for the current point leader, Ladouceur was able to regain the top spot heading into the final race of the season.

That final race will take place this coming Friday night at the Brockville Ontario Speedway. Ladouceur will carry a 28 point lead into the race, and hopes to claim his first Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship since 2004.

“We have been really close to getting that second title over the past few years, but things just didn’t work out”, says Ladouceur. “Hopefully this year we can close the deal”.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season. Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Au Vieux Duluth, Stinger X Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you.

Ladouceur Claims Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series Championship With Fifth Place Finish at Cornwall; Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Chase Heats Up

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

September 28, 2011 - It was a long wait for the inevitable for Joey Ladouceur this week, as all he needed to do was just start the 50 lap Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series main event on Sunday afternoon to get his third consecutive series title. Ladouceur however had hoped to end the series in style with yet another feature win on the final night of the season at Cornwall Speedway.

Sunday’s race, which was originally scheduled for Labor Day Weekend began with qualifying heats, and Ladouceur started the race from third place and advance to second in the eight lap event. In the 50 lap main event, Ladouceur started fourth and battled in the top five early, but had to come into the pits for a flat tire. He returned to the field and fought his way back into the top five and claimed the 2011 Mohawk Racing Parts Championship.

“We have had a great season, and I have to thank all of our sponsors, the crew, my wife Josée and all the fans that come out to the track each week”, says Ladouceur. “I would also like to thank Gilbert Lazore for sponsoring this great series and hopefully we can come back and win it again next year”.

Ladouceur’s attention now shifts to the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series with events coming up at the New York State Fairgrounds on October 9th, and the season finale at Brockville on October 14th.

“We have some work to do in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series to get back to the top of the points there”, says Ladouceur. “We broke while leading at Granby, and finished fifth at Mohawk Raceway, so we are behind a little in points. Hopefully we can make that up in the final two races”.

Ladouceur is currently second in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock series point standings and trails fellow competitor Corey Wheeler by 41 points with two events remaining this season.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season. Ladouceur’s Night Ends in Disappointment at Autodrome Granby; Rebounds With Top Five Finish in Mr. DIRTcar Race at Mohawk Raceway

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

September 20, 2011 - The 2011 racing season has been an exciting season for Joey Ladouceur and his Alexandria, Ontario based DIRTcar Pro Stock team. They had collected 11 wins in just 19 starts this season and has laid claim to the 2011 Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Championship, Cornwall Speedway Championship, and is on the verge of winning the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Championship. The biggest of them all however, is the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship, and Ladouceur is looking to capture that title for the first time since 2004.

The Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock tour resumed this past weekend with a pair of events. First up was the rescheduled race at Autodrome Granby on Friday night, and then back to Mohawk International Raceway on Saturday night.

At Granby, the night started out well for Ladouceur turning the second fastest time in time trials. Ladouceur made the redraw for starting position in the main event, where he started from inside of the fifth row in ninth. It was clear right from the drop of the green flag that Ladouceur had the fastest car on the track, and by lap 18 he took the lead and had built up a sizeable advantage on the field. While running in the lead, the rough track conditions on the night caused a mechanical failure for Ladouceur, and he was unable to finish the race.

“The rough track conditions caused one of the idler arm bolts to break, which made the centerlink knock the fitting off the fuel pump, and that was the end of our night”, says Ladouceur. “Hopefully we can have a good finish tomorrow night and get back on track in the final few races of the year”.

On Saturday night, the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series traveled to Mohawk International Raceway. In the 50 lap main event, Ladouceur battled back from and early race pit stop to get back up to fifth place at the checkered flag.

After the weekend events, Ladouceur now sits second in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock point standings, just 39 points out of the lead. The next race on the Series will be at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse on Sunday, October 9th before ending the season at Brockville Speedway on Friday, October 14th.

This coming weekend, Ladouceur will finish up the season at Cornwall for their rescheduled Mohawk Racing Parts Series finale on Sunday afternoon. Ladouceur has won all four events of the series so far, and will clinch the championship at the drop of the green flag to start the 50 lap feature.

Ladouceur and the team also have t-shirts for sale. Stop by the team hauler at the track and pick up yours today. T-shirt prices are just $20, and are available in size small to 2XL. Shirts are available in white and black, and can also be purchased by emailing Joey at ladouceur32@hotmail.com.
