Joey Ladouceur 2012 Season in Review; 100th Career Win and Multiple Championships Highlight Final Season in DIRTcar Pro Stock Division

When you think of the DIRTcar Pro Stock Division, you cant help but think of Joey Ladouceur and his career accomplishments.  He added to that in 2012, posting his 100th career DIRTcar Pro Stock feature win, added his second consecutive Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship, his sixth career Cornwall Speedway track championship, his eighth career Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock title, and his second consecutive Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock crown.

Ladouceur started the year with four feature wins in the first five events of the 2012 season.  In that span, he won at three different race tracks, taking his first ever win at Can Am Motorsports Park, and opening the season at Mohawk Raceway with a victory, as well as winning at Cornwall Speedway during the second week of the year to close out the month of May.  Joey added a pair of victories in June, and two more in July, one of which was a Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock event at Cornwall.  In August, he celebrated his 100th career win at Mohawk Raceway with a victory on August 17th and closed out the year at Mohawk with yet another win in September.

In October, Ladouceur found himself in a tight championship battle once again, and a second place finish at Syracuse gave him a commanding lead going into Brockville Speedway’s season finale.  Another second place finish at Brockville clinched the championship once again for Ladouceur, giving him his second consecutive title and third overall.

“I really have to thank my wife Josée and my family for all their support”, says Ladouceur.  “I also want to thank my crew chief Frank Lavigne and his wife Anik, Sebastien and his wife Jacinthe and Tristan.  We wouldn’t have the success that we have had without them and our great sponsors”.

Ladouceur will move up to the Sportsman division in 2013, leaving the Pro Stock division with multiple records that may never get broken.

“We have accomplished all that we can in the Pro Stock class, so its time to move on”, says Ladouceur.  “We are looking forward to competing in the Sportsman class next season”.

In addition to competing in the Sportsman division, Ladouceur will also dabble with some pavement racing in 2013, driving a Pro Cam Super Truck owned by longtime sponsor Mario Morissette from Coffrage 20-20 in 8 to 10 events in Quebec.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that were on board for the 2012 racing season.  Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Gauvreau Terre de Surface, Stinger X Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you in the future.

Joey Ladouceur Claims Second Consecutive Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship After Second Place Finish in 2012 Season Finale at Brockville

After a second place finish at Super DIRT Week the previous week, Joey Ladouceur entered the final race of the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series at Brockville Speedway on Friday night with a 35 point advantage.  He needed to maintain an eighth place finish or higher to secure his second consecutive DIRTcar Pro Stock championship.  In addition to the Pro Stock race, Ladouceur also had planned to make his DIRTcar Sportsman debut on Sunday, but rain forced the cancellation of the day’s events.

Ladouceur last competed at Brockville Speedway in this event in 2010, finishing with a third place result.  The event was cancelled last year due to rain, so Joey and the team were eager to hit the track this year as part of the opening night of the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals.  Joey got off to a slow start, qualifying 10th fastest out of the 18 Pro Stocks on hand in the time trial session, he struggled again in the heat race, coming up with a fifth place finish, placing him in the ninth position to start the 50 lap main event.  As the race approached halfway, Ladouceur had climbed his way up to the third position, despite being very cautious, not wanting to take any unnecessary chances.  By lap 30 he made the pass for second, and began to focus in on the race leader.  Over the final 20 laps, Ladouceur maintained the second spot, and crossed the line as the 2012 Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock champion.

“This year we were able to go out and run the final race and not have rain play the deciding factor”, says Ladouceur, who was making his final appearance in the Pro Stock division.  “It feels really good to be able to win it this way.  I was very cautious in the opening laps, not wanting to take any chances, but once things settled down, we were able to race a little bit more”.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that are on board for the 2012 racing season.  Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Gauvreau Terre de Surface, Stinger X Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you.

“We had a great run over the years in the Pro Stock division, and we look forward to moving on next season to a new challenge in the Sportsman division”, says Ladouceur.  “I really have to thank our sponsors, crew members and all of our families for their support, and we cant wait to get the 2013 season started”.

Joey Ladouceur Gets Second Place Finish in Thrilling Pro Stock Event at Super DIRT Week; Seeks Second Consecutive DIRTcar Pro Stock Title

Like most years, the Pro Stock’s put on one of the best races during Super DIRT Week, and Joey Ladouceur was right in the middle of the battle for the win throughout the final laps of the race.  He came up just a little short in his bid for his first career Syracuse win, but his second place finish solidified his position at the top of the DIRTcar Pro Stock point standings with just one race remaining.

Ladouceur arrived at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse on Thursday night.  The first order of business on Friday morning was to go through the mandatory technical inspection process.  After passing inspection, Ladouceur was ready to hit the track for practice on Friday afternoon.  He was the second fastest car after the opening practice, and was looking forward to qualifying on Saturday and getting ready for Sunday’s championship race.

After some early morning rain on Saturday, DIRTcar officials made the announcement that the Pro Stocks would not be on the schedule at all on Saturday.  Their time trials were pushed to Sunday morning, before the 25 lap main event.

Joey was fifth quickest during time trials, and would fire from the inside of row three to start the race on Sunday afternoon.  He remained in contention throughout the race, and found his way to second in the closing laps, unable to make the pass for the lead.

This coming Friday night at Brockville Speedway, Joey Ladouceur will close out his 2012 season in the Pro Stock division with the final race in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.  Ladouceur holds a 35 point advantage going into the final race.  In addition to Friday’s race, Ladouceur will also compete in Sunday’s DIRTcar Sportsman Series race driving a car owned by Gilles Godard.

Joey Ladouceur Dominates Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Race at Mohawk International Raceway; Super DIRT Week Coming Up Next

In one of the most dominating performances of the 2012 racing season, Joey Ladouceur took his car to victory lane at Mohawk International Raceway on Saturday afternoon in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.  It was a long weekend, that was paused on Friday after time trials because of rain.  It resumed on Saturday afternoon for the conclusion of the event.

Ladouceur started the 50 lap event from seventh place, and quickly moved forward.  By lap nine he had moved into second and just three laps later he had the top spot and never looked back taking the win by nearly a half track over the second place car.  The win gives Ladouceur a 20 point lead in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Standings as he continues his quest for his second straight overall championship.

“We couldn’t be happier with this win”, says Ladouceur.  “It really wasn’t easy.  Hopefully we can build on this and have a strong showing at Super DIRT Week in a couple weeks”.

Ladouceur will be seeking his first ever Super DIRT Week Pro Stock win on Sunday, October 7th at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York.  The team will be hard at work over the next couple week preparing the car for the coveted BACC-OFF Pro Stock Championship race.

"We have our longtime sponsors that are stepping up to the plate again for us in our Syracuse program and we will try to win it this year," says Ladouceur.

Once Super DIRT Week is over, there will be just one more event remaining in the 2012 season as the Mr. DIRTcar Series finale takes place at Brockville Ontario Speedway on Friday, October 12th as part of the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals.

Joey Ladouceur Claims Fourth Consecutive Cornwall Speedway Pro Stock Championship and 9th Career Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series Title

The 2012 season has been filled with some outstanding highlights for Joey Ladouceur and his Pro Stock team.  He has scored eight feature wins to date, including his 100th career DIRTcar Pro Stock feature win just two weeks earlier, and has already claimed his second straight Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock championship.  This past weekend, Ladouceur entered Cornwall Speedway for the final time in 2012 with his fourth consecutive track championship all but wrapped up, and also had a convincing lead in the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series with their final 40 lap feature on the schedule to end the regular season.

In the 40 lap race at Cornwall on Sunday night, Ladouceur was making his way through the field patiently in the first half of the race, and had climbed to as high as third place on lap 24 before getting blatantly taken out by a lapped car.  Joey restarted the race from the rear of the field, while the culprit was parked for the night.  When the race restarted with 16 lap remaining, Ladouceur charged through the field, and would climb back to fourth place at the checkered flag.

“We had a great season here, and our proud of our accomplishments”, says Ladouceur after the race.  “I really have to thank the team, my family, and all of our fans and sponsors for their support.  It seems like we have had to deal with some issues on the track the past few weeks from other drivers, but I guess that is part of racing when you are having success”.

This coming weekend, Joey will be at Autodrome Granby on Saturday, September 8th as the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series resumes.  He currently sits fourth in the series point standings, but only 34 points out of the top spot as he looks to claim his second consecutive and third overall Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series championship.  Following the race in Granby, Ladouceur will move on to Mohawk Raceway the following week, then on to the New York Sate Fairgrounds in Syracuse for Super DIRT Week on October 7th and will conclude the 2012 season with the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship race at Brockville Speedway on October 12th

Joey Ladouceur Scores 100th Career DIRTcar Pro Stock Victory at Mohawk International Raceway; Spun Out at Cornwall While Battling for Win 101

It may have taken almost a month to get his 100th career win after scoring his 99th back on July 22nd at Cornwall, but with a limited schedule over that period Ladouceur was confident that he would be able to score the milestone win before long.   That win came this past Friday night at Mohawk International Raceway.  Joey was looking for win number 101 just two night later at Cornwall.

Friday night didn’t get off to a great start for Ladouceur, after contact from another car in his qualifying heat race caused a right front flat tire, sending him spinning in turn three.  He would have to start the 35 lap Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Series finale from the rear of the field.  After just two laps, Joey was inside the top ten, and would move into the top five with the lap counter showing 11 laps complete.  With ten laps remaining, Joey was now up to third, and began to show that he had the fastest car on the track as he grabbed the top spot with just four laps remaining.  He went on to score his 100th career DIRTcar Pro Stock feature win.

“It was fun to win it that way”, says Ladouceur, referring to having to come from the rear of the field to score the milestone victory.  “I have always run well here at Mohawk.  I come here and relax and try to make the most of it”.

Joey was very much in contention for win number 101 on Sunday night at Cornwall Motor Speedway.  He was making a move for the lead late in the race until contact from the second place car sent him (and the car that spun him out) to the rear of the field.  Joey would bounce back to finish in 8th place.

Joey’s win at Mohawk Raceway on Friday night clinched his second straight Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Championship.  He currently leads the Mohawk Racing Part Pro Stock tour by 26 points going into the final race on September 2nd at Cornwall.  He also has a 52 point advantage in track points at Cornwall, and can clinch the championship this week with a solid performance.  The next Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series race will come at Autodrome Granby on Saturday, September 8th.

“You are going to have nights like that sometimes in racing”, says Ladouceur after the race.  “It wasn’t a good night, but we will work hard in the shop through the week, and hope for better results next week”.

This coming week, Ladouceur will be at Mohawk Raceway on Friday night for the final round of the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Series.   Joey currently leads the series by just two points, and will be looking to capture that 100th career win, and his second Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Series championship.  On Sunday night, Ladouceur will return to Cornwall Motor Speedway with a 58 point lead in the battle for the Cornwall Pro Stock championship.  The track title, and the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series championship will be decided on Sunday, September 2nd.  The next Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series race will take place on September 8th at Autodrome Granby.

After struggling last week at Mohawk Raceway Joey Ladouceur made a late decision to return again this week after making several changes to his car.  With big events in Quebec on the horizon, Ladouceur felt the opportunity to test those changes without points on line was going to be very important.   He also returned to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday after getting rained out last Sunday night.

At Mohawk Raceway, Ladouceur started the 20 lap Pro Stock main event from the sixth starting spot.  He worked his way up steadily, and took the lead on lap eight and never looked back.  The win was his 97th career DIRTcar Pro Stock victory, which leads all Pro Stock competitors in the history of the class.

With the popular Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series in action at Mohawk Raceway, Joey Ladouceur was looking forward to resuming the series in which they have won 8 times in his career.  After finishing fourth in the series opener for 2012 at Cornwall, Ladouceur was hoping for a little better finish this time around.  In addition to the event being a Mohawk Racing Parts Series event, it was also a combined series race with the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Series, which Ladouceur is also the defending champion.  Also on the weekend schedule was the customary Sunday night events at Cornwall Speedway.

The plan was to attend Cornwall Speedway on Sunday, as the Pro Stocks were joined on the schedule by the World of Outlaw Late Models.  A mid-afternoon rain shower and a forecast for more rain throughout the evening forced track officials to cancel the events for the night.

Joey Ladouceur Closing in on 100th DIRTcar Pro Stock Victory With Win at Cornwall Motor Speedway

At the beginning of the 2012 racing season, Joey Ladouceur had 93 DIRTcar Pro Stock victories, and was hoping to top the 100 career win mark with another successful season.  The competition in the Pro Stock division remains tough, with a solid field of cars each week at Cornwall, and the competition is even more fierce when Ladouceur hits the road for the Pro Stock series events.  After just a few weeks into the year, Ladouceur now has three additional wins to add to his totals, plus another win at Can Am in a non DIRT sanctioned event.

Ladouceur traveled to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night and for the second straight week he won the 20 lap Pro Stock main event.  He started from the 12th position on the outside of row sixth, and worked his way to the front of the pack moving into the top three just past the halfway point.  The field was slowed by a caution on lap 12, and Ladouceur moved into second on the restart and was poised to make a move for the lead when the final caution flew on lap 16.  Ladouceur used the inside lane to make the pass on the restart, and cruised to his fourth win of 2012 in just five starts, and his second of the season at Cornwall.

“We had a good car again tonight, and hopefully we can keep this up throughout the season”, says Ladouceur.  “I really have to thank my crew, sponsors and all the fans that support us each week”.

Ladouceur is also looking forward to welcoming a new addition to the team over the next few days as his crew chief, Frank Lavigne and his wife Anik are expecting the birth of their first child this week.

This coming weekend, Ladouceur will be back at Cornwall Motor Speedway looking to continue his strong start to the 2012 racing season, and looking to get one step closer to the elusive 100 win club.

Joey Ladouceur Battles Back From Lap One Crash to Earn Third Win of the 2012 Season and First at Cornwall Motor Speedway

It was a warm humid Sunday evening at Cornwall Motor Speedway, and Joey Ladouceur was back in action, looking for his first win of 2012 at Cornwall Speedway.  After a fourth place finish last week in the season opening Mohawk Racing Parts Series, Ladouceur was determined to finish higher on the first regular race night at Cornwall this season.

In his qualifying heat, Ladouceur battled to victory, giving him and the team some optimism going into their 20 lap main event.  As the green flag was displayed to the field, the leader was unable to get up to speed due to a flat tire, causing a multi car pile up in turn three and four.  Ladouceur was in the middle of it, and escaped with only a left rear flat tire.  After quick work from the Ladouceur crew, Joey was back on track ready for the restart.  After carefully moving forward through the first half of the race and dodging yet another wreck, Ladouceur was soon inside the top five, and with five to go, he was up to second and challenging for the lead.  Ladouceur took advantage of a late race restart to take his first win of the year at Cornwall, and third overall this season.  The win was also Ladouceur’s 95th career DIRTcar Pro Stock victory.

“We had to battle for this one coming from the back”, says Ladouceur.  “The leader didn’t fire on the original restart and it jammed everyone up.  We got spun around, and ended up getting a flat, but fortunately we were able to come back”.

This coming weekend Ladouceur will be back at Cornwall Speedway for a 50 lap Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Race.  This will be the first race in the series in which Ladouceur is the defending champion.  He is also the defending race winner.

Joey Ladouceur Opens 2012 Season at Cornwall With Fourth Place Finish

The much anticipated season opener at Cornwall Motor Speedway was on tap this weekend for Joey Ladouceur and his Alexandria, Ontario team. As 2011 Cornwall track champion and defending champion of the Mohawk Racing Parts series, Ladouceur was hoping to get off to a great start.

Ladouceur posted the fourth fastest speed in opening practice, and backed that up with second fast time in his group for time trials, putting him on the outside of the front row for his heat race. He led the first four laps of the race, before dropping to second. Once he returned to the pit area, Ladouceur and his team made some adjustments to the car, looking to get it dialed in for the 40 lap Mohawk Racing Parts main event. Starting from 12th, Ladouceur settled in early, and slowly worked his way forward. With 10 laps up on the board, he was inside the top ten, and gained momentum with each lap, moving into the top five as the race approached halfway. With 10 laps remaining, he was up to third, but would fall back to fourth before the checkered flag after picking up a vibration in the brakes.

“We would have liked to finish a little higher, but overall it wasn’t a bad run”, says Ladouceur on his fourth place finish. “We picked up a real bad vibration over the last 10 laps and that is why we dropped back”.

Ladouceur will be back at Cornwall this Sunday night for a regular racing program. It is also autograph night at the track and Joey and the rest of the Cornwall competitors will be available to sign autographs during intermission. The next Mohawk Racing Parts Series event will be Thursday, June 21st at Mohawk Raceway, and will be a combined Bailey Motor Company Series event as well.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that are on board for the 2012 racing season. Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Stinger X Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you.

Joey Ladouceur Earns Opening Night Win at Mohawk Raceway; Cornwall Speedway Opens This Week With 50 Lap Mohawk Race Parts Series Race

After opening the season with a win at Can Am just two weeks ago, Joey Ladouceur was back in action on Friday night, this time at Mohawk International Raceway.  The track may have been different, but the results were the same as Ladouceur captured his second win of 2012, and 94th DIRTcar Pro Stock victory, the highest win total of all time in the DIRTcar Pro Stock division.

By luck of the draw entering the track on Friday night, Ladouceur started on the front row of his qualifying heat and cruised to the win.  In the 20 lap main event, Ladouceur led the entire distance, winning by a full 2 seconds over second place.

“The car is really hooked up and running well for us early in the season”, says Ladouceur.  “We have had a couple wins now already and hopefully we can continue that through the season”.

Next up for Ladouceur will be a 50 lap Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series event at Cornwall Motor Speedway as they open for the 2012 season.  Ladouceur is the defending series champion and defending track champion, and hopes to get started with a good run this weekend as he celebrates his birthday.

Ladouceur intends to run weekly at Cornwall Speedway, and also follow the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Tour, the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock tour, and the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock tour this season.  The first Mr. DIRTcar race is at Cornwall on June 3rd, and the first Bailey Motor Company series race at Mohawk is June 21st.

Joey Ladouceur Wins Pro Stock Challenge Event at Can Am Motorsports Park

It didn’t take long for Joey Ladouceur to find victory lane in the 2012 season.  In his first race of the new year, Ladouceur captured the 25 lap main event over a stellar field of Pro Stock and Can Am Street Stock competitors.

The Ladouceur family has been a big part of the history at Can Am Motorsports Park, with Joey’s father Laurent winning many races in the Modified and Late Model divisions in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  With the Pro Stocks not part of the regular racing program at Can Am for many year, Ladouceur had not been on the track in quite a long time, but you wouldn’t know it by Saturday’s results.

After finishing second in his qualifying heat coming from the eighth position, Ladouceur made some minor adjustments on his car before the main event.  The adjustments proved to be just what they needed as Ladouceur got a great start, and took the lead just four laps into the race.  Ladouceur clearly had the fastest car on the track, but a series of late race cautions made Ladouceur get up on the wheel the final laps of the race.

“Those restarts were pretty intense there towards the end of the race”, explains Ladouceur.  “We had a great car, and I wasn’t going to settle for second.  It has been a long time since a Ladouceur has visited victory lane here at Can Am, and my first win here, so it is pretty exciting”.

Ladouceur’s next race is still not set in stone yet, as the team may travel back to Can Am, or visit Mohawk International Raceway when they open in a couple weeks.  He will be back to defend his title at Cornwall Motor Speedway when they open for the new season on Sunday, May 20th.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that are on board for the 2012 racing season.  Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Au Vieux Duluth, Stinger X Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you.

Joey Ladouceur Ready For 2012 Season to Begin After Successful Practice Session at Can Am Motorsports on Sunday Afternoon

After six months away from racing as the local tracks were dormant through the long off-season, Joey Ladouceur was eager to get back to the track and try out some of the changes that he made to the car over the winter months. The first area track to open for practice was Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park in Lafargeville, New York and Ladouceur made the two and half hour trip.

Despite a misty rain that was falling in the late morning, practice went on as scheduled, and eventually made for ideal track conditions once the rain stopped. Ladouceur was able to run over 100 laps of practice, and was very happy with the performance of the car.

“We had a great test session at Can Am. I am very happy that we came here”, says Ladouceur. “It is always good to get some practice in before we start racing, just to make sure the car is working the way it should. After more then 100 laps here, we are reassured that everything is ready”.

Ladouceur will make at least one more trip back to Can Am this month. He would like to return this coming Saturday night for their season opener, but will race the following week for sure as they host a Street Stock/Pro Stock Challenge race.

“I always enjoy coming to Can Am, as our family has so much racing history here dating back to the 80s with Dad racing here in the Late Model, and then Modified”, says Ladouceur. “It is a fun track to race on, and its very fast”.

Joey Ladouceur 2011 Season in Review; Mr. DIRTcar Championship Highlights Fantastic Season for Joey Ladouceur

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

November 3, 2011 - When the 2011 racing season began, Joey Ladouceur and his team had set some pretty high goals. They wanted to repeat their championships at Cornwall Speedway, and the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series, and capture the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his career. They wanted to win as many races as possible, and also battle for the elusive win at Syracuse during Super DIRT Week.

Joey got the season started off on the good note, winning on opening night at Cornwall Speedway. In the first month of the season, Joey had three wins at Cornwall, including a Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series win and also posted a win at Mohawk Raceway. Through the month of June, Ladouceur set the pace early, building up a substantial lead in the track point standings.

As the summer heated up, Ladouceur continued his Pro Stock domination with three more wins at Cornwall in the month of July. He was also leading the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock standings at Mohawk Raceway, and was at the top of the standings in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship battle.

In August, Ladouceur had to battle through terrible weather, and didn’t even get on the track at all in Cornwall during the stretch drive of the championship. Ladouceur claimed the 2011 Cornwall Speedway track championship by 66 points. Ladouceur did win three times in August, posting wins at Mohawk Raceway, Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond and stretched his lead in the Mohawk Racing Pro Stock Series standings. A second place finish later in the month at Mohawk also secured the Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock championship.

When the calendar turned to September, the team’s attention shifted to the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock series. Ladouceur had a substantial lead, and extended that with a win at Autodrome Drummond on September 9th. The following week, Ladouceur broke while leading at Granby, and was the first DNF of the season at the most inopportune time. The following night, Ladouceur scored a top five finish at Mohawk to remain in contention for the title. The month ended at Cornwall Speedway with the final Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series race, and Ladouceur just had to start in order to clinch the title. Ladouceur ended the race with a fifth place finish.

Just two events remained on the schedule going into October. First it was Super DIRT Week, and then the season finale at Brockville. Ladouceur entered the month trailing the points leader by 41 points in the battle for Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock. A fourth place finish at the New York State Fairgrounds, combined with some bad luck for the series leader gave Joey the points lead going into the final race. When Ladouceur arrived at Brockville to finish out the season, so did the rain, and shortly after the decision was made to cancel the last race, and Ladouceur was deemed Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his career.

While the 2011 racing season is now over, Ladouceur will look ahead to the annual DIRTcar awards banquet on Saturday, November 19th at the Turning Stone Casino in Vernon, New York. Ladouceur, and his team will be officially recognized for the 2011 accomplishments, including the Mr. DIRTcar championship, and Cornwall Speedway championship.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season. Ladouceur Wins 2011 Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship; Brockville Speedway Tour Finale Rained Out

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

October 18, 2011 - As a racer, Joey Ladouceur would always like to decide the outcome on the track, and not have Mother Nature intervene. However, with the rainout on Friday night at Brockville, and the final night of points in the Mr. DIRTcar Series cancelled, Joey Ladouceur earns the title as Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock for the second time in his illustrious racing career.

Despite a forecast that called for rain on Friday evening, Ladouceur and his team made the trip to Brockville Ontario Speedway from their Alexandria, Ontario home. Not long after arriving though, the rain came, and quickly intensified, forcing track officials to cancel the final race of the season for the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series, and giving Ladouceur the championship.

“It certainly wasn’t the ideal way for us to win it, as we always want to decide the outcome on the track”, says Ladouceur. “However, we had a great year, and our team has worked hard to achieve this title, and we are excited to win this championship again”.

Ladouceur, who last won the championship back in 2004, is quick to credit the hard work of his crew, and the support of him family and friends throughout the season, and his racing career.

“I couldn’t do this today without the dedication of the crew, and the support of my wife Josée”, says Ladouceur. “We spend so much time during the season in the race shop, and at the track, and it feels great to have this championship once again”.

Ladouceur Regains Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Point Lead After Strong Super DIRT Week Performance; One More Event Remaining in 2011

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

October 13, 2011 - Going into Super DIRT Week XL at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York, Joey Ladouceur and his Pro Stock team arrived with a beautiful new paint scheme, and a fresh outlook on the remaining events of the 2011. The Pro Stock division first hit the track on Friday afternoon for practice and the had another practice session and time trials on Saturday afternoon before running the BACC-OFF 25 lap Pro Stock Championship event on Sunday.

Ladouceur was fast right from the beginning, setting the second fastest speed in opening practice. On Saturday, Ladouceur laid down another fast lap, and captured the Terrell’s Potato Chips Pole Award.

“I really didn’t think that lap would have been fast enough for the pole”, claims Ladouceur. “We did that first lap and I thought I kind of gave up a little too much, so when I came around for the second one I went harder. It’s a good thing the first lap was good enough to get the pole because I threw it away on the second one. I tried to stay lower trying to find something on the bottom and it just didn’t stick”.

For Ladouceur, this was his third Pole Award in the 10 years of attending this event at Syracuse. He won the fast time award back in 2003 and again in 2009. This year, Ladouceur was hoping to bring home his first career Syracuse win.

“This is my tenth time here for this race and I’ve never won the darn thing,” said Ladouceur, who has a best career finish in this race of third back in 2003 and 2004. “We have been fast, but we’ve blown tires and had all kinds of bad luck at this place.

In the 25 lap main event, Ladouceur held the lead until a lap six restart. Despite several attempts to get the lead back, he rode in second place, and then fall to third on a lap 17 restart. At the checkered flag, he finished in fourth place. Ladouceur entered the race 41 points out of the lead in the chase for the Pro Stock Mr. DIRTcar championship, but with problems during the race for the current point leader, Ladouceur was able to regain the top spot heading into the final race of the season.

That final race will take place this coming Friday night at the Brockville Ontario Speedway. Ladouceur will carry a 28 point lead into the race, and hopes to claim his first Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship since 2004.

“We have been really close to getting that second title over the past few years, but things just didn’t work out”, says Ladouceur. “Hopefully this year we can close the deal”.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season.

Ladouceur Claims Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series Championship With Fifth Place Finish at Cornwall; Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Chase Heats Up

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

September 28, 2011 - It was a long wait for the inevitable for Joey Ladouceur this week, as all he needed to do was just start the 50 lap Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series main event on Sunday afternoon to get his third consecutive series title. Ladouceur however had hoped to end the series in style with yet another feature win on the final night of the season at Cornwall Speedway.

Sunday’s race, which was originally scheduled for Labor Day Weekend began with qualifying heats, and Ladouceur started the race from third place and advance to second in the eight lap event. In the 50 lap main event, Ladouceur started fourth and battled in the top five early, but had to come into the pits for a flat tire. He returned to the field and fought his way back into the top five and claimed the 2011 Mohawk Racing Parts Championship.

“We have had a great season, and I have to thank all of our sponsors, the crew, my wife Josée and all the fans that come out to the track each week”, says Ladouceur. “I would also like to thank Gilbert Lazore for sponsoring this great series and hopefully we can come back and win it again next year”.

Ladouceur’s attention now shifts to the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series with events coming up at the New York State Fairgrounds on October 9th, and the season finale at Brockville on October 14th.

“We have some work to do in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series to get back to the top of the points there”, says Ladouceur. “We broke while leading at Granby, and finished fifth at Mohawk Raceway, so we are behind a little in points. Hopefully we can make that up in the final two races”.

Ladouceur is currently second in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock series point standings and trails fellow competitor Corey Wheeler by 41 points with two events remaining this season.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season.

Ladouceur’s Night Ends in Disappointment at Autodrome Granby; Rebounds With Top Five Finish in Mr. DIRTcar Race at Mohawk Raceway

By Craig Revelle - Finish Line Web Design

September 20, 2011 - The 2011 racing season has been an exciting season for Joey Ladouceur and his Alexandria, Ontario based DIRTcar Pro Stock team. They had collected 11 wins in just 19 starts this season and has laid claim to the 2011 Bailey Motor Company Pro Stock Championship, Cornwall Speedway Championship, and is on the verge of winning the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Championship. The biggest of them all however, is the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Championship, and Ladouceur is looking to capture that title for the first time since 2004.

The Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock tour resumed this past weekend with a pair of events. First up was the rescheduled race at Autodrome Granby on Friday night, and then back to Mohawk International Raceway on Saturday night.

At Granby, the night started out well for Ladouceur turning the second fastest time in time trials. Ladouceur made the redraw for starting position in the main event, where he started from inside of the fifth row in ninth. It was clear right from the drop of the green flag that Ladouceur had the fastest car on the track, and by lap 18 he took the lead and had built up a sizeable advantage on the field. While running in the lead, the rough track conditions on the night caused a mechanical failure for Ladouceur, and he was unable to finish the race.

“The rough track conditions caused one of the idler arm bolts to break, which made the centerlink knock the fitting off the fuel pump, and that was the end of our night”, says Ladouceur. “Hopefully we can have a good finish tomorrow night and get back on track in the final few races of the year”.

On Saturday night, the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock Series traveled to Mohawk International Raceway. In the 50 lap main event, Ladouceur battled back from and early race pit stop to get back up to fifth place at the checkered flag.

After the weekend events, Ladouceur now sits second in the Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock point standings, just 39 points out of the lead. The next race on the Series will be at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse on Sunday, October 9th before ending the season at Brockville Speedway on Friday, October 14th.

This coming weekend, Ladouceur will finish up the season at Cornwall for their rescheduled Mohawk Racing Parts Series finale on Sunday afternoon. Ladouceur has won all four events of the series so far, and will clinch the championship at the drop of the green flag to start the 50 lap feature.

Ladouceur and the team also have t-shirts for sale. Stop by the team hauler at the track and pick up yours today. T-shirt prices are just $20, and are available in size small to 2XL. Shirts are available in white and black, and can also be purchased by emailing Joey at ladouceur32@hotmail.com.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that have come on board for the 2011-racing season.
