When you think of the
DIRTcar Pro Stock Division, you cant help but think of Joey Ladouceur and his
career accomplishments. He added to
that in 2012, posting his 100th career DIRTcar Pro Stock feature
win, added his second consecutive Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock championship, his sixth
career Cornwall Speedway track championship, his eighth career Mohawk Racing
Parts Pro Stock title, and his second consecutive Bailey Motor Company Pro
Stock crown.
Ladouceur started the year
with four feature wins in the first five events of the 2012 season. In that span, he won at three different race
tracks, taking his first ever win at Can Am Motorsports Park, and opening the
season at Mohawk Raceway with a victory, as well as winning at Cornwall
Speedway during the second week of the year to close out the month of May. Joey added a pair of victories in June, and
two more in July, one of which was a Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock event at
Cornwall. In August, he celebrated his
100th career win at Mohawk Raceway with a victory on August 17th
and closed out the year at Mohawk with yet another win in September.
In October, Ladouceur found
himself in a tight championship battle once again, and a second place finish at
Syracuse gave him a commanding lead going into Brockville Speedway’s season
finale. Another second place finish at
Brockville clinched the championship once again for Ladouceur, giving him his
second consecutive title and third overall.
“I really have to thank my
wife Josée and my family for all their support”, says Ladouceur. “I also want to thank my crew chief Frank
Lavigne and his wife Anik, Sebastien and his wife Jacinthe and Tristan. We wouldn’t have the success that we have
had without them and our great sponsors”.
Ladouceur will move up to
the Sportsman division in 2013, leaving the Pro Stock division with multiple
records that may never get broken.
“We have accomplished all
that we can in the Pro Stock class, so its time to move on”, says
Ladouceur. “We are looking forward to
competing in the Sportsman class next season”.
In addition to competing in
the Sportsman division, Ladouceur will also dabble with some pavement racing in
2013, driving a Pro Cam Super Truck owned by longtime sponsor Mario Morissette
from Coffrage 20-20 in 8 to 10 events in Quebec.
Joey Ladouceur would like to
thank all of the sponsors that were on board for the 2012 racing season. Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot,
Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Gauvreau Terre de Surface, Stinger X
Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur
team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you in the
future.
