After struggling last week
at Mohawk Raceway Joey Ladouceur made a late decision to return again this week
after making several changes to his car.
With big events in Quebec on the horizon, Ladouceur felt the opportunity
to test those changes without points on line was going to be very important. He also returned to Cornwall Speedway on
Sunday after getting rained out last Sunday night.
At Mohawk Raceway, Ladouceur
started the 20 lap Pro Stock main event from the sixth starting spot. He worked his way up steadily, and took the
lead on lap eight and never looked back.
The win was his 97th career DIRTcar Pro Stock victory, which
leads all Pro Stock competitors in the history of the class.
“We really struggled here
last week in the series race, and we had to come back after making some changes
to the car”, says Ladouceur. “We have
some big races coming up next week, and I wasn’t comfortable going into those
races not knowing how well the changes would work”.
On Sunday, Ladouceur was
back at Cornwall Speedway. After
starting at the back of his qualifying heat, he charged to the front to grab
the lead before they completed lap two and went on to win. In the 20 lap feature, Ladouceur charged
through the field to take the top spot briefly, but dropped to second in the
closing laps.
This coming week will be
busy for Ladouceur, with three events lined up in Quebec. On Friday night, he will be at Autodrome
Granby for a combined Mr. DIRTcar Pro Stock/Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock
series event, and then on to Autodrome Drummond on Saturday for a similar
event. On Sunday, Ladouceur and team
will be at Le RPM Speedway in St. Marcel, Quebec for a standalone Mohawk Racing
Parts Series event.
Joey Ladouceur would like to
thank all of the sponsors that are on board for the 2012 racing season. Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot,
Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Gauvreau Terre de Surface, Stinger X
Chassis and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur
team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you.
