After making his ProCam Truck Series debut last weekend with a win and a second place finish at Riverside Speedway, Joey Ladouceur was looking forward to this weekend’s event at Autodrome Montmagny on Saturday. Joey’s usual Sportsman ride was parked for the weekend, as Cornwall Speedway did not have the division scheduled for Sunday.
At Autodrome Montmagny, Joey started the day with a win in his qualifying heat race after starting from the fifth position. In the main event, Joey started from second and quickly jumped out the to the race lead. Just a few minutes into the race, the red flag was displayed after a nasty wreck, and the race was eventually called off, giving Ladouceur the victory. All drivers that were in the wreck were later released from the hospital and are doing ok.
“We are really happy to get the win here at Autodrome Montmagny” ,says Ladouceur. “I wish we could've ran the full 50 laps, but I am glad to hear that everyone, including my teammate MichaĆ«l, was ok after that nasty wreck”.
This coming weekend Ladouceur will return to the ProCam Truck for the next round of the series at Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday. On Sunday night, Joey will be back behind the wheel of his DIRTcar Sportsman ride at Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night.
